about
Improvising with my guitar at home has been a real source of solace and catharsis in the darkness of recent weeks. It’s the one thing I can have complete control of while ill health and trauma happen to people I love dearly.
This track is a simple improvisation that harkens back to an earlier era of Kowa Axis where I played without distortion and noise and perhaps offered a more honest and stark indication of who I am and what I’m feeling.
This song is for my sister Emily, the strongest person I know – and her children. If I had faith I would pray. But instead this is my way to offer hope and solidarity, while trying to make some sense of my own sense of despair about why such sorrow is foisted upon people who have already endured so much.
I offer this song for free, please just take a moment to think about and reach out the family and friends you would love to see more of. Tell them you love them.
