Kowa Axis' fourth full-length album 'Reverence' started as an ode to distortion textures, harmonics and octave reflections. It marked the first time a new guitar, amplifier and tuning had been used on a Kowa Axis recording. But as the two pieces unfurled they began to take on other meanings and forms.

Together these two tracks represent two vastly different life experiences, seen through the same lens. The title is also a nod to some musical influences that came through quite overtly as the songs developed.

'Reverence' and 'Kos At Dawn' contrast the daily grind of a life in London full of responsibilities, with the overwhelming simplicity of sitting alone on a deserted Greek island beach at 6am watching the sun come up and realising what could be.

Recorded April 2018 in New Cross, London.
